I recently toured the Veg-E-Systems, a new hydroponic growing, research and training facility in my District. Dennis Riling, President and Tim Sulzer, Vice-President, are harvesting fresh lettuce varieties in one of Veg-E-Systems’ facilities.
Rep. Quinn was honored to be part of a ceremony to unveil the Baruch S. Blumberg Institute in Doylestown. Formerly the Hepatitis B Foundation’s Research Institute, the facility was renamed for the foundation’s late co-founder. Blumberg won the 1976 Nobel Prize for his discovery of the Hepatitis B Virus. Today the Institute is one of the world leaders in Hepatitis B, and liver cancer research, and the nation’s leading non-profit organization dedicated to finding a cure for Hepatitis B.
