Holding the Governor Accountable for His Budget
This is my first session to serve the House Appropriations Committee, which held three weeks of hearings to learn about Gov. Tom Wolf’s budget proposal. Testimony was provided by all of the various state agencies and department heads, and Committee members had the opportunity to ask questions about each agency or department’s spending, programs and requested funding for the 2015-16 fiscal year. It was interesting to hear the various reports and to learn about what has been working, what changes are planned and how the Commonwealth agencies will be addressing the diverse challenges we face as a state.
On April 23, Rep. Marguerite Quinn was joined by Doylestown Borough Councilman Joseph Flood at one of her quarterly town hall meetings, where she provided residents at Center Square Towers in Doylestown with an update from Harrisburg.
